Finally, the biggest hit sequel of any film in the entire film industry is released. We have our answer to the biggest question being “Why did Katappa kill Baahubali ? ” from the first part of The Baahubali. English meaning of the word Baahubali is ‘The one with strong arms’. Baahubali 2 is a historical fiction directed by S. S. Rajamouli. This movie was released on 28th April 2017. But even if er get our answer to the question is the film watchable at all? Well, That’s what we are here to find out about.
Let’s first get to know what this movie is about. Basically, as most of us around here might know that this is the sequel to its first part where we were shown the ending of the movie being Katappa killing Baahubali. Now for those who still haven’t watched the first part yet, the above point might be a spoiler for you for that but it doesn’t matter cause you would have already heard about it from the memes of the internet. The entire part Baahubali is a story of a man who gets what he deserved to have, despite suffering from all the difficulties and some astonishing facts about his life.
Here, in this part of Baahubali, Katappa continues his narration of his past with the father of Mahendra Baahubali – Baahubali. It is important to not get confused during the movie as a lot goes down later after the interval. The movie is started off with showing some sculptures which are graphic and are of the important events that took place in the first part of Baahubali. Then the movie starts directly with Katappa protecting Queen Mother Sivagami played by Ramya Krishnan. Do take a note that the beginning of the movie is all in the past and is a story about Baahubali and not Mahendra Baahubali. People might get confused as many of us already don’t remember the exact ending of its first part where Katappa started narrating this story.
Many people might be wanting to watch this film without watching its first part. People who haven’t watched its first part will not go through much trouble as we were shown some of its important events at the beginning of the movie. But still, it is preferable to watch the first part and then go for this one to get a better understanding of all the characters in the movie.
The Baahubali in this part of the movie and that too before the interval of the movie is Amarendra Bahubali played by Prabhas who is the father of Mahendra Baahubali also played by Prabhas. Baahubali sets off to get some knowledge outside his home state and then ends meeting Devasena played by Anushka Shetty. Devasena is a strong independent woman also a princess of the Kuntala kingdom. Devasena and Amarendra Baahubali falls in love with each other when Baahubali acts not being a king and some stupid man with memory issues. Later when the Kuntala kingdom is attacked by some people Baahubali comes in his original style and saves the Kingdom along with its King, Queen and Princess.
That is the time when all the other people of Kuntala Kingdom realize that it was Baahubali all way along with them. Baahubali was declared to be the King of Mahismati in the future but this news wasn’t accepted by Bhalla Deva the elder brother of Baahubali. Bhalla Deva being angry for not getting the throne makes a strategy to hurt Baahubali. Most of the part is political from the Bhalla’s side but the plan does work out.
Devesena, as introduced before, is the queen of Kuntala Kingdom and also the mother of Mahendra Baahubali. She is a fierce, strong and independent woman with very good skills of archery. Baahubali sees her for the first in a fight with some robbers and fells in love with her at that very exact moment.
Basically, it is a south movie and so it dubbed in Hindi. You will notice the dubbing first hand, but that doesn’t seem like any awkward at all. This movie has a lot of CGI used like there isn’t a single piece of the scene where they haven’t used Graphics and these scenes are too beautiful but also at the same easily recognizable as CGI. A lot of visual effects surely ruins the film as a video but as a movie, the story is what makes us sit till the end. The first part of Baahubali also had a lot of visual effects and so this one shouldn’t be much of a problem.
Baahubali is shown as a very powerful man and so they have been using much graphics in all his fights. It also is easily noticeable if you watch closely and with full concentration. The story isn’t much of a problem as even a little kid will be able to understand it and yes it is one of those family kinds of a movie so don’t hesitate at all in watching this one with your family.
Apart from the visual effects the plot of this movie is very well orchestrated and also performed by the appropriate characters very fluently. The story of this sequel is everything. We surely are looking for the answer to our question that why did Katappa kill Baahubali in this part of the movie and so watching from the perspective of that question you will be easily able to predict the answer way before the interval. It can’t be said that it has a predictable story as a lot of surprising and interesting stuff does go down during the story’s narration by Katappa.
Scenery and location being an important part of a movie are the also the most beautiful thing many people love to watch. This movie has a lot scenes with landscapes and all. But all of this scenes, unfortunately, looks as they have been created as a Graphic Content and aren’t real. The director absolutely did a splendid job on his part of the role. A lot of scenes have slow motions and even fast transitions to show us the capability of Baahubali which surely looks oddly satisfying.
So aside from the thing about visual effects, this movie is surely watchable with that interesting and very well written story. The story of this movie can be said to be the best part about it and also the actors did a splendid job on playing the role of those characters that were required. You surely wouldn’t want to get off your seats till the last.
Many people around here haven’t yet watched the first part of the movie but to watch this I strongly recommend to first have a better understanding of the characters and also to the storyline and for that, you would require having seen the first part of Baahubali. Visual effects will be recognized in the movie at the first look of anything but they are placed very carefully and also precisely to look real and beautiful at the same time so those visual effects shouldn’t be much of a problem in this movie as the first also had used very hardcore visual effects.
Baahubali is a very strong and powerful man who can fight almost anything and to make us believe that movie directors have used CGI based models in about every fight in the movie. That too wouldn’t be any problem as it does convinces us that yes Baahubali does have a big set of skills and also is perfect. Apart from all that the scenery and landscapes as discussed before are also very beautiful and well placed. Also, the main important part of this film is its story and plot which also is very interesting and as I said earlier very carefully and fluently played by the appropriate roles of characters required.

So, overall this a surely a highly recommended watch, despite some of the stupid graphics used the story is what we will be concentrating on. It is completely filled with entertainment and surely watchable. Have a great day and Thank you.
